'Grey' is the second part of a series of experimental films dealing with emotional distress caused by the death of a close person. The film depicts a stand still and the pressure for building a new life: the encountering of the greyness of the everyday life and re-connecting with the outside world.

Minna Parkkinen

Born: 1964

Minna Parkkinen is a visual artist and filmmaker who lives and works in Turku. Parkkinen is currently working on digital film formats but has also extensive experience working with hand processed analogue film, which she studied in Spain and the United States. Her works deal with human emotion and the subconscious, and her films have been characterised as poetic. Parkkinen has also transferred the images of the films to other materials. Her experimental films have been screened at more than 30 international film festivals and galleries, and the films have been awarded with honorable mentions.
