The Apostle is a metaphorical short film about the radical ideas of Jesus of Nazareth, prone to new interpretations under the pressure of constantly changing needs of society and institutions.

Juhani Koivumäki graduated with M.A degree from the academy of fine arts in Helsinki in 2008. He has 17 years of experience in working with media art. He has held solo exhibitions and hosted workshops for young people and children in Finland and abroad. Many of his films have been screened at international and domestic film festivals and screenings since 2002. Koivumäki’s central themes deal often with colliding interests between human society and individual. Koivumäki lives in Helsinki, Finland.
