Haikala was awarded a practise-as-research PhD from Roehampton University’s (London) Drama, Theatre and Performance department. In her art and research, Haikala is interested in questions such as representation of body, autobiography, historiography. The works of Haikala have been presented in exhibitions and festivals since the early 2000s.
