Hamish and Eeva II
Haikala Eeva-Mari
On stage, a man and a woman are struggling, pulling and pushing each other. The piece is inspired by Welsh painter Gwen John’s (1876–1939) letters and notebooks. Those texts reminded the artist of issues of loneliness and longing which led her to the consideration of how to express these fragile themes through the body.
