Enter Tina Turner
Lerviks Marcus
A two-part interactive installation. Ten 150W bulbs are placed on the floor or wall with a microphone connected to an amplifier, the viewer is invited to assume centre-stage and step up to the microphone. Speaking or singing into the microphone turns the sound system on, as the volume increases so does the intensity of the light. The video opposite shows an attempt to enter a Tina Turner concert in Helsinki. The viewer can barely glimpse her through the fences and security, but she can be heard faintly in the distance.
