Easy Pressure
Lerviks Marcus
A two-part installation comprised of a video and a sound piece. A loudspeaker intermittently omits deep bass frequencies whilst a nearby monitor plays a film of a person pressing and dragging his face across an invisible surface, which in the installation becomes the surface of the screen. The work manifests a tension between two objects trying to communicate. The work exists also a screening version.

Marcus Lerviks lives and works in Vaasa, Finland. He holds MFAdegree from the University of Art and Design Helsinki. His works are typically installations employing video, spatial elements, lights and sound, and they often have a performative dimension.
