Matikka Tommi
A submarine's periscope is exploring a Finnish archipelago. In front of the viewer opens the checkered hodgepodge of reality mixed fairy tale with its flying lizards and shipwrecked man. The display of the periscope slides unimpressed towards new episodes with the aid of strong musical soundscape. Nothing seems to have any true significance.

Tommi Matikka graduated in visual arts from Satakunta university of Applied Sciences in 2007. Matikka has made animation based video art since 2008. He runs a cinematic video art collective Together Forever Studio with his wife Maria Matikka. In his videos Matikka fluently combines poetry, animation and soundtracks. The core of this art is found in the smallness of human experience. Matikka’s works have been seen in many solo and group exhibitions, festivals and events.
