Territorio

Niemi-Junkola Fanni

Territorio is a short film based on true events, blending fiction with reality to explore themes of territories and the ethical stress humans face due to environmental destruction. At its core, the work examines questions of sharing space, boundaries, and control. The film also delves into anxiety arising from geopolitical shifts, threats to the future, and insecurity regarding personal living space.

Behavioral tendencies among animals of the same species, like dogs and wolfs, viewed from an evolutionary perspective, are shown to be applicable to humans as well.

The piece reflects on human responsibility for the environment and other people, as well as on experiences of nature. How does nature affect us, and how do we affect it? What traces do we leave behind?
