Prelude
Näsänen Elena
In Prelude, footage of stairs is projected onto actual stairs in a gallery space. Bubbles appear in the foreground of the image, float up to the landing to form a whirlpool-like configuration above the stairs, and then vanish. The footage is replayed backwards, which creates an unreal impression. The soundtrack consists of a simple, both silent and pompous melody that keeps repeating.
