Karaisu (Inurement) is a performative video work about the so called dreamtime and man's alienated relationship with nature. The ritualistic music created by composer Ilari Edelmann and musician Olli Kari resonates with the soundscape of the environment and complements the work's dreamlike visual language.

Ilkka Pitkänen (b. 1981) is a Helsinki-based visual artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans media art, moving image, photography, installation, and performance. He earned a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Helsinki, in 2013. His work has been exhibited both in Finland and internationally.
