In spring 2014, the artist did performance interventions in Rome. She was sitting and cutting a white men's shirt into weft. Her figure, dressed in black and head covered with a scarf did not draw attention, but people occasionally stopped to see what she was doing. In Piazza Navona the life around the artist was busy, and her cameraman succeeded reasonably well in looking like just a curious tourist.

Helinä Hukkataival has worked as a media and performance artist since 1969 and also as an art educator until 2001. She has astudied at Tampere University of Applied Sciences School of Art and Media. Her performances and video installations have been seen in numerous exhibitions in Finland and abroad. Since the 1990s, her work has concentrated in performance art, but is nowadays often combined with video. Her works deal with the search of universal in personal experiences. Hukkataival received The State Prize for Visual Art in 2004.
