
Held in Paris from October 2–18, the Festival of Different and Experimental Cinemas presents two screenings of Finnish experimental shorts in collaboration with AV-arkki, FixC, and Institut Finlandais. The screenings have been curated by Kari Yli-Annala.
Focus: Relations de pouvoir showcases Finnish female video artists

From the Eiffel Tower as the phallus of Paris, to a boxing match, passing through a travel diary on Sàmi territory, films and videos from the 1980s to today, directed by Finnish artists working on questions of post-colonialism of genre, or further, the female gaze, will be presented by Kari Yli-Annala. The screening takes place on Friday, October 11, at 20:00 in Cinéma le Grand Action.

Special screening: FixC présente: Régimes et systèmes

FixC, Helsinki based cooperative composed of artists working on the moving image, was founded in 2007 in order to create, distribute and promote video art, media art and experimental film, as well as to set up exhibitions, screenings and conferences. FixC collaborated with the International Teletext Art Festival ITAF as well as the Finnish electronic art collection VILKE. The screening takes place on Tuesday, October 14, at 20:00 in Institut Finlandais.
