Markus Viljanen started making films first for the Finnish television (YLE) and then documentary films, music documentaries, short films and installations as an independent director & producer. He lives in Helsinki and has graduated from the Helsinki university (philosophy). He has worked, among other things, in YLE, as a film researcher in the Finnish Film Archive and as a teacher in media schools.
