Santtu Koivu
Born: 1980
Santtu Koivu lives and works in Helsinki, Finland. She graduated from Lahti Institute of Fine Arts in 2005. She works mainly with experimental video. Her works often focus on a person, telling a story through hands or body movement. Her videos convey a sense of carefree playfulness. Koivu's work has been displayed in Finland, Ireland, Germany and Greece. In 2009, her video “Iris” won the award for Best Video Art in the International Film Festival of Patras City in Greece. Her works are in the collections of e.g. Finnish State and Helsinki Art Museum.
