The video performance If You Fall, We Will Fall Too takes place in a primeval forest in Southwest Finland. Performance artist Leena Kela and seven performers with different ages and backgrounds have settled among the old trees. The performers move very slowly, rising and falling in different rhythms. The silence of the old conifers and the forest cover is matched by the slow movement of the human bodies, which one by one rise to a standing position and descend to the ground in a lying or squatting position.

Leena Kela is a performance artist, artistic director of the New Performance Turku Festival, a director of the Saari Residence and doctoral candidate at the University of the Arts Helsinki. In her works and research she explores dialogue between corporeality and materiality in performance art. She makes performances and videos that play with and twist our relationship with everyday objects and phenomena and pose questions to our worldview. She has presented her performances internationally in performance art festivals, events and exhibitions in every continent except Antarctica.
