Räbinä Paavo

The past century has been bloody and painful. In Finland, those who experienced war were left permanently scarred. The subject was and still remains a taboo. Our generation today acknowledges the truth at last, but the suffering caused by past wars has left its mark on this generation as well. The video explores historical events near and far while trying to understand what the collective perception and experience of suffering can teach us today: When is war justified? What keeps a war going? How should war be understood? Do we accept certain issues without questioning them?
