Dust Draws Out The Treasures

The pale particles accumulate over certain areas and begin to draw out round shapes from the darkness. The flecks are wood dust created as wood is sawed above the imperceptible arrangement. The dust floats down upon the arrangement, making visible the hidden treasure.

Heini Aho has studied at the Turku Arts Academy and the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki. Aho has participated in numerous exhibitions in Finland and abroad, and worked in residency programmes. She works with spatial installations, videos and performaces. The humane relationship with a limited life is in central to her works, and the focus is often on small and mundane miracles and phenomenon. Seeing and experiencing differently are some of the main objectives of Aho’s work.
