The Transformative Figure
Nylund Anna-Sofia
An artist sits in her studio, watching three screens streaming live footage from a car park cave. On the screens, a transparent entity appears — something that does not seem to belong there. She names it The Transformative Figure, as it appears to change form in response to its surroundings. She realises that the figure is gathering information — observations, thoughts, and feelings — and that it is on its way to deliver this information to her. As it draws nearer, The Transformative Figure eventually enters the artist’s private home. The film raises the question: How does artistic inspiration work?
