'A Creation Myth' referring to the concept of holy geometry in Islamic art. First there is a point, which grows into a line, which rotates into a circle. The plurality of our world grows from the repetition of the circle and the hexagon’s geometry.

Marra Lampi is from Lappajärvi, Finland and studied at Lahti Institute of Fine Arts in 1977–80 and Bourneville School of Arts and Crafts in the UK in 1974–75. She has participated in exhibitions since 1979. Lampi uses painting, printmaking and makes environmental works. She has made public artworks in Tampere area: Deep Rainbow (1985), Sun Field (1993) and Milavida (1994). Her works are also represented in various collections in Finland and abroad.
