Aarno Salosmaa
Born: 1941
Aarno Salosmaa (1941-2008) was a well-established painter and video artist with an outstanding career including international exhibitions and awards. He lived and worked in Espoo, Finland. Salomaa graduated from the School of the Fine Arts Academy of Finland (currently Finnish Academy of Fine Arts) in 1965. Already in the 1960s Salosmaa was known for his versatile techniques. He presented his first video work titled Dance of Swans in 1999 and focused in video the whole 2000s. The works of Salosmaa have been seen in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Finland and abroad. His works are found in all important museum collections in Finland.
