Jukka Silokunnas’s Vanishing Point at Melbourne International Animation Festival

Jukka Silokunnas’s Vanishing Point (2017) is selected in the programme of Melbourne International Animation Festival, held from June 14–23. The short video is on display in the installation animation programme.

Vanishing Point portrays the visage of decomposition playing out in unreal time.

Jukka Silokunnas is a media artist working with video, animation, and Augmented Reality. At the moment, he focuses mainly on street art animation. The urban space is Silokunnas’s only studio. For him, the creativity means moving in space and inhaling life. He is continuously looking for new ways to utilize his surroundings in his art. Silokunnas graduated as a visual artist in 2011 from the Tampere University of Applied Sciences. After graduation, he has participated in numerous notable exhibitions and festivals both in Finland and abroad.
