Finnish shorts at Go Short International Short Film Festival Nijmegen

The programme of this year’s Go Short – International Short Film Festival Nijmegen includes several shorts by our artists. The festival will be held from April 1-10 2022 in Nijmegen, Netherlands, and online.

Joel Karppanen’s A Nature Documentary (2021, in featured image) and Elina Oikari‘s Flying Potato and Other Misunderstandings (2021) were selected for the European competition. Oikari’s short fiction is included in the EC4 screening “Listen to my story“, screened on Thursday, April 7, at 21:30. Karppanen’s short documentary is included in the EC10 screening “Nature vs. The People“, on Saturday, April 9, at 15:00.

Elina Oikari: Flying Potato and Other Misunderstandings (2021)

Two films by Pilvi Takala are included in the thematic focus “Out of Office”. The Stroker (2018) is included in “Office Space“, screened on Sunday, April 3, at 18:30, and on Saturday, April 9, at 19:45. If Your Heart Wants It (Remix) (2020) will be screened in “Working in Late Capitalism“, on Monday, April 4, at 21:00 and on Saturday, April 9, at 13:45.

Four Perspectives is a collaborative programme line created and curated by members of the European Short Film Network. The programs are presented on the online short film platform THIS IS SHORT and screened during the four festivals in the network: Go Short, International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Vienna Shorts and Short Waves Festival. The screening “Four Perspectives: Movements 2“, taking place on Sunday, April 3, at 12:15 includes Mika Taanila’s Six Day Run (2013) and Salla Tykkä’s Giant (2014).
