Hanna Arvela’s First Person Shooter in the online short film programme by Uppsala ISFF at Birdie Computer Festival, Sweden

Hanna Arvela’s video First Person Shooter (2015) is included in the online short film programme, presented by Uppsala International Short Film Festival at Birdie Computer Festival, held from May 21–24 in Sweden.

In First Person Shooter, the danger provided by the virtual reality refreshes two men who spend an evening playing computer games connected through a network. 

Hanna Arvela (b. 1981) works currently mainly with video, but her background is in comics, illustration and graphic design. She graduated Master of arts from Aalto university, studying visual culture and contemporary art & audiovisual storytelling and dramaturgy. Her works have participated and been awarded in international exhibitions and festivals, but she aims to exhibit also outside the institutional art scene.
