Milja Viita’s and Arttu Nieminen’s shrot films at 20minmax ISFF Ingolstadt

Milja Viita’s When We Are Nothing Left (2020) and Arttu Nieminen’s Ultima Kaltio (2021) are screened at 20minmax International Short Film Festival Ingolstadt, held both on-site and online from October 13–21 2021. Viita’s short film will be screened in “Night on Earth“, on Thursday, October 14, at 20:00 in Cinestar. Nieminen’s short film will be screened in “Love, Fear and Desire“, on Friday, October 15, at 20.15 in Audi Programmkino. Both films are included in a looping screening “Art & Experimental“, taking place on Friday, October 15, and Saturday, October 16, from 19:00 to midnight in Lichtstromfestival Klenzepark.

When We Are Nothing Left is a minimalist film about time, infinity and life cycle, created in the spirit of William Blake. The film is shot and hand processed at the Film Farm in Ontario, Canada, during the summer 2018.

In Ultima Kaltio, the hypnotically pulsed bottom sediment of a spring in the middle of wilderness is enchanting its viewer. It vibrates with seductive energy that invites us to another realm under the earth. Witnessing the hypnotic experience makes the mirroring surface of the viewer’s soul to bend.
