Anne Siirtola is a visual artist, currently living and working in Karkkila, Finland. Siirtola uses various techniques in her installations that combine moving image and sound. Her works often involve communal aspects and concentrate on the questions of what is important and worthy in life. She often uses found, second-hand or thrown-away items as material. Traces of decay and change - processes that take place in human mind and matter - are present in Siirtola’s work. Her works have been presented in exhibitions, festivals and events including MUU Gallery in Helsinki (2013), Kunsthalle Helsinki (2013), Suomesta Galleria in Berlin (2011, 2010) and Kerava Art Museum (2007).
