With & Without Money
Hyvärinen Aimo
With & Without Money is based on my ongoing research. Even as a child, I remember thinking that money was a strange thing — especially when I noticed how some people were willing to do almost anything for it. I found it embarrassing, even shameful — and I still do. Since 1974, I have created numerous artworks and other projects related to this fascinating topic. Now that I am older and wiser, I wanted to bring these works together into a single exploration. I believe the topic remains as relevant as ever — and so does the medium of collage.

Active since the 1980s, his career includes feature-length documentaries, large multimedia productions, several corporation films, many video installations and more than twenty photo art exhibitions. Hyvärinen’s documentary films and videos have been broadcast at various tv channels abroad and screened at international festivals.
