Visual artist Vilma Pimenoff works with photography, video, and installation. Imagery and phenomena from popular culture often serve as starting points for Pimenoff’s creative practice, through which she explores cultural conventions, their meanings, and the ways in which meaning is formed. With humor and play, Pimenoff’s work creates a critical space where codes of representation and cultural norms can be re-examined. Vilma Pimenoff holds a Master’s degree in Photography (LCC, University of the Arts London, 2011) and lives in Helsinki, Finland.
