The video was shot at the new Beijing airport designed by Norman Foster. The basic unit of functional modernism, the square, is seen in an absurd scene of endless maintenance work. We see a convex dome shape outlined by a grid. A man cleans its glass surface with supple wrist movements one square at a time. First, the image may look like digital animation. It is not until birds fly over the scene that the reality is revealed: a digitally designed architectural landscape.
