HNV Collective’s Atomic (2020) was selected for the Video Competition of Videoformes, held in Clermont-Ferrand from March 17-20 2022. Atomic is included in the competition screening 2, taking place on Saturday, March 19, at 13:00 in Maison de la Culture.

Atomic is a poetic journey, which tells the story of one particular jewel. The jewel was commissioned by the US army in 1945. The ornamental stone is radioactive Trinitite, which was born as a side product of the first nuclear test in New Mexico. In this small object merge total violence, beauty, precious, sublime and particular materials and human incompleteness.

HNV is a collective of three artists from different fields of arts: Felicia Honkasalo, Akuliina Niemi, and Sinna Virtanen. Their works are hybrids between music, theatre and fine arts.
