The board of AV-arkki has decided that AV-arkki will not collaborate with Russian organizations. We condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine. For the time being, we will not submit nor distribute our artists’ works for the programmes of Russian events and venues.

AV-arkki is looking for ways to support Ukrainian contemporary art and promote the visibility of Ukrainian artists in the programmes of our domestic and international partners.

AV-arkki condemns racism and discrimination against Russian people. The war in Ukraine is not the fault of the Russian residents in Finland and we do not accept hate speech against them.

We also understand that many artists, filmmakers, curators and cultural workers in Russia condemn the Russian invasion of Ukrain. We understand that their situation is very difficult under the current regime.
