Jussi Eerola’s Grasshopper shown in two screening programmes at PÖFF Shorts

Jussi Eerola’s Grasshopper (2023, in featured image) takes part in PÖFF shorts, taking place from November 7–15, 2023 in Tallinn, Estonia. The work is screened in two screening programmes: Night cinema on Thursday November 9, 2023 at 9pm in Terminal Records & Bar and in Vitamins on Saturday November 11, 2023 at 7pm in Kino Sõprus and on Monday November 13, 2023 at 8:45pm in Kino Artis.

Part of the Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) the international short film and animation festival PÖFF Shorts is one of the biggest short film and animation festivals in the region.

Finnish filmmaker and cinematographer Jussi Eerola (1969) has worked as director of photography on many international award-winning films from prominent Finnish directors and artists. His directorial debut was in 2009 with Refugees of Technocracy, a documentary about electro-hypersensitive people. Return of the Atom (2015) received the Best Nordic Film prize at CPH:DOX and it was co-directed with Mika Taanila, one of the people with whom Eerola founded Elokuvayhtiö Testifilmi, a Finnish film production company. Blue Honda Civic is his directorial short film debut.
