This year’s edition of International Video Art Festival (IVAHM) includes a retrospective of Pink Twins. The festival is held from May 10–21 in Museo Centro de Artes de Vanguardia La Neomudéjar.
The retrospective, consisting of five works, takes place on Saturday, May 13 at 20:00 with the presence of Vesa Vehviläinen from Pink Twins.
Pink Twins is a duo of visual artists and electronic musicians, brothers Juha (b. 1978) and Vesa Vehviläinen (b. 1974), based in Helsinki, Finland. Active as Pink Twins since 1997, their videos work on the crossing of visual art and music. Live Pink Twins deliver improvised digital soundscapes, often combined with video screenings. Pink Twins have shown their works in exhibitions and festivals in all continents and performed audiovisual live shows through Europe, Americas, Asia and Australia.

Pink Twins: Defenestrator (2008)
Defenestrator (2008, 08:44)
A spectacle of grandiose spaces, monumental halls and majestic architecture. Overpowering architectural constructions disintegrate, deform and transform into a flowing stream of lava, creating new distorted spaces for building blocks of a new order.
Module (2008, 06:44)
A minimal and profound study of abstract space, architecture and morality. A room is scanned from inside and outside by particles drifting along fixed three-dimensional coordinates. The soundtrack is an interpretation of a traditional prison blues song, No More My Lord.
Amalgamator (2012, 09:18)
Pink Twins, the masters of reality, unleash their fury and wipe your retinae clean with this wild amalgamation of structuralism, chaotic 3D programming, digital video feedback, landscape imagery and moving action painting.
Conductor (2013, 04:31)
Conductor is a hypnotic trip through a wormhole. Stare into the void during an ever-accelerating journey into a crystalline cosmic tunnel, and the quantum space of archaic grey psychedelia stares right back at you. Conductor is a silent animation that can be projected or installed on a monitor, either horizontally or vertically.
Parametronomicon (2015, 09:12)
Parametronomicon presents a model of parametric virtual life. A biomechanic organism moves, multiplies and regenerates in an elaborate series of convulsive movements. Its life spans from simple formations to inevitable apocalyptic visions of an over-the-top visual orgy.
