Synopsis in English
The video was shot at the new Beijing airport designed by Norman Foster. The basic unit of functional modernism, the square, is seen in an absurd scene of endless maintenance work. We see a convex dome shape outlined by a grid. A man cleans its glass surface with supple wrist movements one square at a time. First, the image may look like digital animation. It's only when birds fly over the scene that the reality is revealed: a digitally designed architectural landscape.

Video on kuvattu uudella Norman Fosterin suunnittelemalla Pekingin lentokentällä. Modernin funktionaalisuuden perusyksikkö, neliö, nähdään absurdissa kohtauksessa, joka kuvaa loputonta kunnossapitotyötä. Kuvassa on kupera muoto, jonka ruutuverkko erottaa taustastaan. Mies puhdistaa sen lasipintaa ranneliikkein yksi ruutu kerrallaan. Ensinäkemällä kuva voi näyttää digitaaliselta animaatiolta. Vasta kun näkymän yllä lentää lintuja, asetelman todellisuus paljastuu: arkkitehtoninen maisema, joka on suunniteltu digitaalisesti.
