Biografia englanniksi
Elena Näsänen (b. 1968 in Helsinki) lives and works in Helsinki, Finland. Näsänen is a visual artist working with video art and short films. In her films Näsänen studies how the moving image combined with a constructed, fictionary, soundscape creates stories. Her works have been shown at screenings and as installations in galleries and museums in Finland and abroad. Her films have taken part in several international festivals. Elena Näsänen is also active in Finnish cultural politics. She is the first woman to be elected as a president for the Finnish Artists’ Association.
