Zen-Stones

‘Zen-Stones’ is an installation that consists of cobblestones and a video projection with sound. The idea of an installation with cobblestones was born in Prague on Petřín hill – Kinsky Garden (Kinského zahrada), where a lonely worker was building a pavement, stone by stone, on the roads leading to the garden. This very focused labourer gave the impression that he was building the whole pavement for the length of several miles by himself. The very same stones are used as weapons or tools of self-defence in demonstrations against police and the army – who are armed with much deadlier instruments in order to keep people under control.
