Plantheon is an intimate and experimental portrait of Finnish artist Teuri Haarla, and focuses on his holistic methods for dealing with infancy trauma and social pressure. Allowed regularly, ego melting leads to regressive biodrunken “rituals”, reflecting religion and philosophy. Balance is kept with family by spending time alone building a house and a geometric tower 17 meters high. “Lets say: After childhood I just needed some rest.” The film originated from friendship between filmmaker Ulu Braun and Haarla, which allowed a spontaneous and artistic cooperation.
