AV-arkki’s unique publishing series is called VIEW. Historical compilations, thematic views and retrospectives from the pioneers of Finnish media are published under this label.

VIEW publications are intended only for private home viewing. VIEW publication are available for purchase in our online store (home use). Please contact AV-arkki’s staff if you are interested in purchasing these publications for library/educational use.

VIEW DVDs are a part of AV-arkki’s ongoing project Media-Art-Export, which is generously funded by The Ministry of Education and Culture.

VIEW 3 (2011) – Retrospective of 2011 Ars Fennica winner Anssi Kasitonni’s media artworks

VIEW 4 (2011-2012) – Good Stuff (working title) – artists’ animations from Finland.

VIEW 4 is a compilation of animation based media art from AV-arkki’s distribution catalogue. VIEW4 presents various animation techniques and explores animation as a tool for visual artists. Curator Laura Köönikkä selects the works and writes an article for this special compilation. VIEW 4 will be finished during 2011 and published at an exhibition held in Gallery Rajatila, during Tampere Film Festival 2012.
