Unfit by Timo Wright at Bilbao Contemporary Dance and Theatre Festival, Oct 22 – Nov 2
The experimental short film Unfit by Timo Wright (b. 1977) will be screened at the 16th Bilbao Contemporary Dance and Theatre Festival (BAD) on October 23 at 7 p.m.
The festival, to held from October 22 to the November 2, 2015, presents avant-garde and innovative aspects of the contemporary theatre, dance and cinema.
As part of this year’s programme, BAD screens, together with the Bilbao International Documentary and Short Film Festival ZINEBI, a selection of films that focus on bodies, music and dance in contemporary cinema. The programme “Let’s enjoy ourselves while we can!” consists of films from ZINEBI’s 56th edition. These films investigate, from a wide variety of aesthetic and genre perspectives, the iconographic possibilities offered by the moving body.
In Unfit, digital image processing and nervous, fast forwarded movement dissolve the outline and vanish the image of a dancer’s body.
Timo Wright is a visual artist based in Helsinki, Finland. His works have been presented in several solo and group exhibitions in Finland and abroad over the past decade.
The screening programme is presented in BilbaoArte. For more information, go to:
