Jukka Silokunnas's Vanishing Point competes at Milano Film Festival
Jukka Silokunnas’s Vanishing Point (2017) was selected for the international short film competiton of Milano Film Festival, held from September 28 to October 7. Silokunnas’s film will be screened on Tuesday, October 2, at 19:30 and on Friday, October 5, at 18:00.
When the artist was a kid they used to traveler a lot with his family. He used to Iook the changing landscape through the caravan window. Only older he realized: he changed, not the landscape.
Jukka Silokunnas is a media artist who studied at University of Lisboa and Tampere University of Applied Sciences, from where he graduated as a visual artist in 2011. Silokunnas makes videos and uses the urban environment as his living room. His works talk about time and space and movements around them that often remain unnoticed. Silokunnas has participated in solo and group exhibitions, festivals and events including Centre for Contemporary Art Laznia in Gdansk, Poland (2013), Moscow International Biennale for Young Art (2012) and Kunsthalle Helsinki (2011).
