Event Description: The Finnish Institute in Japan will hold a seminar called “The way of life for women and mothers, in past and present Finland and Japan” on the 6th of June 2015 at the Geidai University of Arts. Women’s social relationships, motherhood and ways of raising a family in Finland and Japan will be discussed in the seminar.

An evening with music performance by Taneli Viitahuhta (saxophone) and Naoto Yamagishi (percussion) and screening of Marja Viitahuhta’s films “Garden of Death” and “I don’t remember this”. The latter of these will be accompanied by Taneli Viitahuhta’s and Naoto Yamagishi’s live improvisation.
