Blåfield's Golden Age @ Full Frame Documentary Film Festival

Blåfield's Golden Age @ Full Frame Documentary Film Festival

Maija Blåfield‘s Golden Age will be screened at Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in Durham, North Carolina. From April 7—10, the festival presents nearly 100 non-fiction films. Full Frame is acknowledged as one of the leading documentary film festivals in the U.S. Golden Age is a part of NEW DOCS selection curated by the Director of Programming Sadie Tillery.

Blåfield created Golden Age by filming documentary footage during 15 years and leaving it unwatched prior to the editing process. Distance opened a new perspective to the story that differed radically from what was originally intended. The fascinating scenes combine unrelated shots with a recreated soundtrack.

Blåfield received The Finnish State Prize for Media Art in 2014.
