Drive With Care by Pilvi Takala and Material Conditions of Inner Spaces by Erkka Nissinen @ International Competition of Go Short in April 8 - 12, 2015

Drive with Care by Pilvi Takala and Material Conditions of Inner Spaces by Erkka Nissinen have been selected to participate in the International Competition of the 7th Go Short – International Short Film Festival Nijmegen through AV-arkki’s distribution. Go Short is a Dutch festival exclusively for short film organised in and around the artplex LUX in Nijmegen, the Netherlands during April 8–12, 2015.

Drive with Care investigates the life of a teacher at an elite boarding school in the US. Utilising dry-humoured post-documentation of staged activity, Takala examines the boundaries within this particular community. The film explores people’s strategies for survival as faculty members in the school negotiate their own space within the institution, finding loopholes while being careful not to violate shared rules.

Material Conditions of Inner Spaces is an absurd slapstick musical, where three men are trying to change the material conditions by social action. The lead characters of Nissinen’s film are on a quest to find their inner spaces.
