AV-arkki presents Finnhits screening @ Oslo Screen Festival, 5.-9.3.2014, Norway
Oslo Screen Festival is an biannual international festival for video art. The aim of the festival is to establish a platform for video art in Norway for both Norwegian and international artists. Oslo Screen Festival’s wish is to break boundaries in the selection of video art and visualize a wider cultural diversity of expressions and forms. The purpose of the festival is to inspire the artistic and cultural environment in Norway and to stimulate the audiences’ consciousness of the surrounding world.
AV-arkki has been invited to curate a special program for the festival. Finnhits screening takes place in Filmens Hus/Cinemateket, on 6th of March at 5 pm. The screening includes the following titles from AV-arkki’s distribution:

Two Islands by Jan Ijäs is included in Cities in Motion screening @ Filmens Hus, 9th of March at 1:20 pm. Cities in Motion is curated by Elena Rumyantseva.
Oslo Screen Festival also organizes a symposium titled Video Art in a Nordic Perspective concerning archiving and distribution of video art in the Nordic countries. AV-arkki’s distibution manager Vesa Puhakka attends the festival and participates the symposium.
