Sari Palosaari is a visual artist living and working in Helsinki. Her works consists of architectural constructions, sculptures and video. The works reconstruct fictional situations within architectural settings involving the viewer’s own physicality and the gaze as a conscious sense of defining. The basis of the work lies in exploring the built environment, the social and aesthetic values, as well as fictive and real memories projected on the architectural surrounding.

Palosaari’s works are exhibited in galleries, museums and festivals nationally and internationally. Recently her works have been shown in Purnu Art Centre, in Orivesi, Finland, Finsk-Norsk Kulturinstitutt in Oslo, EMMA, Espoo Museum of Modern Art in Espoo, Kettupäivät – Helsinki International Short Film Festival in Helsinki, TINAG, This Is Not A Gateway Festivals in London, C-PS-gallery in Chicago and Printemps Immédiat serie of events in Paris.

In 2008 she was granted with Raimo Utriainen Art Foundation Prize for Young Sculptor.
