Antikainen studied music in Sibelius-Academy and film & video making in Helsinki Polytechnic and has degrees from both institutions. Her films and videos have been shown in film, video and dance festivals, museums, galleries and screenings in Finland and abroad since 1999. Antikainen regards her works as hybrids between short film (fiction or documentary) and experimental cinema and enjoys exploring the border land between those genres without settling down permanently on either side. Antikainen lives and works in Helsinki, Finland.
