Lena Séraphin. Interested in the social and imaginary functions of the gallery and in the traditions that are carried forward when presenting artworks. The actual space becomes intertwined with her artwork as in the installation ”Rich, Respected and Dead” that was filmed and presented at the Amos Anderson Art Museum. Contributing editor for Hufvudstadsbladet. Teaches at the University of Art and Design, UIAH. Curating ”Imagetext”, an extended exhibition dealing with subjective messages and the social functions of public space in Helsinki, 2005. Curating ”In Other Words” in 2006; a project highlighting the use language in media and public space. MA Goldsmiths College 1997 and UIAH in 1998. Lives and works in Helsinki.
