Media artist Kati Åberg (b. 1967) seeks new arenas and audiences for audiovisual art with her works, which range from video to interactive installation works and live performances. In her works she is interested in combining new media and performing arts and in the emotions visual images can create in a viewer. A natural inquisitiveness keeps her looking for new ideas and venues for her works. Kati Åberg graduated in New Media from the University of Art and Design Helsinki. She lives and works in Helsinki when she is not globe-trotting or sailing on tall ships in the Finnish archipelago.
