Juhani Koivumäki was born in Hämeenlinna in 1981. He resides in Helsinki. In 2002 he had his first solo exhibition when getting awarded as a young artist of the year in Häme-region. In 2008 he received his MA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki. He has had five solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions and short film festival showings in Finland and abroad. Also he has been co-curating media art festivals where he has been presenting his own and other Finnish artists works. Juhani's works range from traditional cinematic storytelling to experimental film, video-art, photography and installations.
